Today, I’m dreaming about love in Venice. I smell garlic, and the rich clove-based perfume that permeates from stores and hotels to disguise the scent from the canal. I taste blistered grilled tomatoes generously drizzled with olive oil and deep, peaty red wine. Tomorrow, my mind may wander to a tuna melt from the South Street Diner after dancing until the bar closed (yes, I did stay up past 9pm…once).
Nothing interrupts unwanted habits like inspiration. Nothing encourages empowering change like inspiration. Life easily slides into wash, rinse, repeat, and while these cycles are safe and comforting, the closer we tap into our imagination, daydreams and creativity, the closer we live our authentic life.
Allow your mind to drift to what moves you, to what your senses pull you toward. Following your inspiration could just be the beginning of something new.
